GI.bench USB License Dongle Information

This information can be shared with customers who have strict security regulations regarding the use of USB devices in their facility.

  • We supply the UniKey STD model, which can be found at https://esecutech.com/products/unikey/unikey-std/.

  • The dongle is prepared by our back-office team. During preparation, the stick is paired with the customer license information by writing our standard license file (.lic) into a secure location on the stick itself. We use the manufacturer's software to prepare the sticks. On the customer's side, no additional software is deployed. The license information is processed only with GI.bench.

  • The USB dongle is read-only for customers. It does not have flash memory like a normal USB stick.

General note: The USB stick needs to be plugged in before the software gets started! Otherwise it doesn´t recognise the USB license.
