Digital Output: Process Out Conditions
How to configure process out type digital output
Purpose
The process out output monitors measured values or sensor variables to constraints/threshold values. The digital output is set if one or several threshold conditions are fullfilled.
The distribution voltage depends on the type of module. It has to be either supplied externally or be picked up by the power supply of the module.
Thresholds (OR combined)
High logic:
Only threshold 1 can be defined. The condition is fulfilled, if the source value is higher then threshold 1.
Low logic:
Only threshold 1 can be defined. The condition is fulfilled, if the source value is lower then threshold 1.
Range detect high:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the lower value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 determines the higher value. The condition is fulfilled, if the source value lies within threshold 1 and threshold 2. If the source value remains under threshold 1 or exceeds threshold 2, the condition is not fulfilled.
Range detect low:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the lower value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 determines the higher value. The condition is fulfilled, if the source value remains under threshold 1 or exceeds threshold 2. If the source value lies within threshold 1 and threshold 2, the condition is not fulfilled.
High non-failsafe:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the higher value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 represents the hysteresis range. If the source value exceeds the threshold 1, the condition is fulfilled and it is not fulfilled, if the source value gets under the value (threshold 1 - threshold 2).
High failsafe:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the higher value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 represents the hysteresis range. If the source value exceeds the threshold 1, the condition is fulfilled and it is not fulfilled, if the source value gets under the value (threshold 1 - threshold 2).
Low non-failsafe:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the lower value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 represents the hysteresis range. If the source value exceeds the value (threshold 1 + threshold 2), the condition is not fulfilled. It is fulfilled, if the source value gets under threshold 1.
Low failsafe:
With this function the condition is set according to a hysteresis function. Threshold 1 determines the lower value of the hysteresis and threshold 2 represents the hysteresis range. If the source value exceeds the value (threshold 1 + threshold 2), the condition is fulfilled. It is not fulfilled if the source value gets under threshold 1.
