      How to fix when variables are not updating in data acquisition mode

      This article presents troubleshooting tips in case variables are not updating in data acquisition mode, like in the Channels or Dashboard view

      Wrong IP address in the database file

      If you can still read a controller in configuration mode but are not seeing the variables updating in data acquisition mode (and no datastream appears in the dashboard designer), then it could be that the GI.bench database contains an invalid controller IP address.

      To solve this issue:

      1. Close GI.bench, including GI.service in the system tray
      2. Delete file C:\Users\Public\Documents\Gantner Instruments\GI.bench\gibench.db
      3. Restart GI.bench
