Common FTP errors

Most FTP errors occur due to a connection problem between the FTP client and server. This article will address the most common FTP errors and how to resolve them.

FTP Error: 550 SSL/TLS required on the control channel

This error means your server requires the use of an encrypted connection (SSL or TLS) for FTP to function, also known as FTPS. The Q.series controllers do not support FTPS. For a secure FTP connection, it is recommended to use SFTP instead.
