      How to Acquire Data from e.pac, e.gate, or Q.gate Using GI.bench

      This article explains how to add a data stream to your GI.bench project for discontinued controllers, such as the e.pac, e.gate, and Q.gate.

      Discontinued controllers, such as the e.pac, e.gate, and Q.gate, cannot be configured using GI.bench. Please use test.commander instead.

      1. In your GI.bench project, select the project in the tree view and click Add → Add external system datastream.

      2. In the pop-up window, either enter the IP address of the controller or select Scan to scan the network for available controllers. The default buffer type should be HighSpeedPort Process Buffer, and the buffer index should be 0.

      3. The data stream will now be added to the project as an "Additional stream," displaying the available variables found on the controller. Click Save to store the updated project settings.
