Using a special parameter file allows you to configure specific parameters on the I/O modules that are not accessible through the standard software user interface.
To configure specific parameters, a special parameter file (*.spc) is required. This file is provided by Gantner Instruments and can be loaded onto the module using either GI.bench or ICP 100 configuration software.

For a more detailed description of how to use the ICP 100 software, please refer to the ICP 100 Quick Start Guide.
-
Open ICP 100 and scan the bus. From the dropdown list, select the I/O modules for which the special parameters need to be configured.
-
Navigate to the Module Settings tab, click on the Special Data button, and select the special parameter file (*.spc) provided by Gantner Instruments. Note that File Explorer will only display the files that are compatible with the selected I/O module.
-
After selecting the special parameter file, a separate window will open to configure the specific parameters. The screenshot below shows an example of a settings window. To edit a parameter, click on the entry field.
-
When the parameters have been set, go to File > Send To Module to write the configuration to the module.
